Reading Time: < 1 minute

Poised to take the presidency of the European Council on 1 July, Slovenia will prioritize regulation of the digital agenda in its 6-month stint, according to Iztok Jarc, Slovenian ambassador to the EU.

In regards to the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act, Jarc said Slovenia will push for a single digital market that functions more efficiently. The purpose of the DSA is to harmonize how online content and services are regulated – a high priority for Slovenia. Artificial intelligence will also be placed high atop the agenda, and in the realm of cybersecurity, Slovenia will be looking to forge a coordinated European approach to building cyber capacity.
