From May this year to July, 35,193 tourists arrived in Ukraine from Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia. More than 85% of all tourists from the Gulf region (29,809 people) are citizens of Saudi Arabia. This is eight times more than in the pre-crisis year of 2019.
The second country in terms of the number of tourists visiting Ukraine is the United Arab Emirates, with 2,677 tourists in three months, and the third is Oman, at 1007 tourists. According to Visit Ukraine, one vacationer from the Persian Gulf countries spends an average of USD 2,500 in 5-7 days in Ukraine.
